AiTO - Artists in Toronto | Campaign Assignment

aito

The main focus for this assignment was to promote Toronto and to give travelling artists around the world reasons to want to visit, and hopefully move to Toronto. The most important aspects of this assignment were to design the branding for our campaign company, as well as to get out there and promote our campaign via social networking. The layout was designed mainly by my partner who used Photoshop, and created by me in Dreamweaver using HTML/CSS, and JQuery. The Twitter background, the 2 logos, and other stationery for this campaign were designed by me using Photoshop

The Dress Whites | Band Site

flowerShoppe

This is a site idea which I created for The Dress Whites which was primarily designed and created using XHTML/CSS, with some details which were created in Photoshop. The main idea was to give them an online presence which would help them to lure in more fans, and play more shows. Two great features which I added are the photo gallery which uses Lightbox, and the contact form which uses PHP.

Flower Shoppe | JavaScript Site with Validation Form

flowerShoppe

For this assignment, I was expected to create a site containing specific features run by JavaScript, such as: an image slideshow, image rollovers, a pop-up window, and a form which validates for correctly entered information. In completing these tasks, I also had to somehow incorporate an IF statement, a FOR loop and a WHILE loop. Although the design was not important for this project, I managed to quickly design something in Photoshop.

This project consisted of a one page PHP Validation Form. To do this, I had to create the possible error messages, and restrictions for each field, then create the form which the user must fill in correctly. The images are © by Staples Business Depot, and I coded them into place with XHTML/CSS.

Lego Creator | Interactive Mini Site for Kids

felice

This was a fun school project which I designed in Photoshop and animated in Flash. The purpose was to create a mini site for a specific Lego Toy which teaches kids how to build it. There is a "Watch" section which features an animation of the toy being built in sequence, and there is a "Build" section, which allows the kids to put it together by dragging and dropping the pieces into place, which was coded with Action Script 3. And YES! I did cut each and every one of those pieces out using the pen tool. :)

My Neighbourhood "Changes" | Short Film

felice

For my final video assignment in first year, I was to film, edit and produce a short film about my neighbourhood. With an extra hand from a friend, I filmed various scenes around my neighbourhood, and then edited the raw footage using Final Cut Pro. The voiceover and background music were recorded and edited using Audition 3.0, and the final product was burned to a DVD using iDVD.
